Machine safety

We are specialists in designing safety guards for machinery and areas at risk of injury. We comply with ISO, IRSST and CNESST standards and recommendations to protect workers from mechanical dangers. Our designs ensure you maintain good access for maintenance and good visibility for visual inspection without sacrificing the ergonomics of the workstation.

Development of a medical simulator used for the educational training of doctors.

This one allows students to learn how to recognize heart abnormalities that can usually be detectable by diagnostic ultrasound. Both rigidity and tactile realism were crucial, which made the design even more interesting. Our design was able to adapt to the manufacturing processes chosen by our client.

Armored vehicle

Integration into a team including several engineering firms working on electrical and mechanical parts of the vehicle. This very confidential project had particularly tight deadlines and specifications.

Creation of manufacturing drawings of several electrical transformers from 2D files.

Based upon the AutoCAD (2D) drawings, our team made 3D drawings with many configurations in order to quickly generate custom-made products. This client designs durable, high-capacity transformers that must withstand the most extreme outdoor conditions in the world (compliance with NEMA 3R standards).

Jigs and fixtures: extensive experience in several types of projects.

Our team has designed numerous jigs and fixtures over the years, integrating a wide range of technologies and for various applications. This tool, very widespread in the manufacturing industry, has for the main objective to accurately position the part with the best repeatability and interchangeability possible. It must also be robust and ergonomic, since we want to use it over many cycles. Some of these jigs used suction cups to position the part and even tools on guided surfaces to ensure impeccable cutting of the product.

Conveyors

Many conveyors have been designed by our team to transport different materials between different processes. The mandates included the selection of components with clients and suppliers, requests for quotations to budget projects and optimize costs, as well as the conceptualization of security elements (guards) in accordance with IRSST standards in Quebec.
